Abstract

Background: Lecturer is required to carry out tridharma activities with full responsibility. To achieve this, a
professional quality of life for lecturers is required when a person works through good attitudes and behavior in the workplace which cannot be separated from work characteristics, such as psychological workload. The
purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Meaning of Life, Mental Workload, Lecturer
Performance and Lecturer's Professional Quality of Life.
Methods: This type of research used cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 38
respondents according to the research criteria. The sampling technique is done by total sampling. Data were
analyzed univariately and bivariately with the chi-square test.
Results: Statistical results obtained p value = 0.815, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between
the meaning of life of lecturers with quality of life of lecturers. Statistical test results obtained p value =
0.940, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between lecturer workload and lecturer quality of life.
Statistical test results obtained p value = 0.151, so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between
lecturer performance and lecturer quality of life.
Conclusion: There is no relationship between meaning of life, mental workload, lecturer performance with
quality of life for lecturers. It is hoped that university managers will continue to improve the quality of life of
lecturers.
